Modern Hotel ~ Free Parking ~ Lively Inner Harbor Locale
District 6 (D6) held one of our most successful regionals in Hunt Valley, MD for almost 50 years. D6 management worked hard to continue the relationship with the Hunt Valley location, but scheduling conflicts and significantly increased food costs led us to look for another site.
District 6 is excited to announce a new location for the Baltimore area regional in August 2020 – the lovely HiIton Hotel in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. The hotel sits in a vibrant area bordered by the iconic Camden Yards Ballpark, home of the Baltimore Orioles, and the thriving waterfront of the Inner Harbor.
The Hilton offered us a great room rate of $120 and waived the standard parking fee for hotel guests. D6 is committed to making parking free for all attendees, and is fortunate that corporate sponsor Krauss Investment Group, a great friend of D6 bridge, has committed to work with us to achieve that goal.
The Hilton has great ballroom space that is perfect for our regional. Inside the hotel is a 350-seat restaurant plus a lobby bar that serves 100 people. The area boasts a wide variety of restaurants, ranging from famous seafood spots, to the ethnic dining in Little Italy, to sports bars, neighborhood delis, sandwich shops and everything in between — numerous restaurants are within 1 to 2 blocks of the hotel.
The Hilton is easily reached from many directions. It is an easy drive from the Washington area and just minutes off Interstate 95. The Hilton is only 10 miles (less than a 20-minute drive) from BWI airport, and a MARC mass transit train station is within 2 blocks of the hotel.
Baltimore is a major historic city. Not far from the hotel is the War of 1812 site where the Star-Spangled Banner was written. Baltimore has long been a manufacturing center famous for everything from steel to sugar, and it’s a major port. The Inner Harbor location is bustling in summer and a great urban area for wandering around and enjoying the sites and food. Our site specialists thoroughly vetted the area, and we are sure that Baltimore is a fine location for a regional.

- Camden Yards is next door and the Texas Rangers and Boston Red Sox will be in town during the 2020 regional!
- The National Aquarium, located in the Inner Harbor, has an annual attendance of 1.5 million visitors and is the largest tourism attraction Maryland. The aquarium has more than 17,000 specimens representing over 750 species.
- Fell’s Point is a historic Baltimore waterfront neighborhood, just 1.5 miles east of downtown, reachable by water taxi barges, bus or car. The area has many antique, music and other stores, restaurants, coffee bars, a municipal market-house with individual stalls, and over 120 pubs.
- Federal Hill is a picturesque area dating from the 18th century with a lively nightlife around its pubs, live music venues and pizza and burger spots. Trendy boutiques sell upscale fashion and decor, while Cross Street Market has stalls stocked with fresh produce and prepared foods.
- Little Italy is a small neighborhood packed with delicious restaurants. Located just a few blocks from the Inner Harbor, Little Italy feels a world away. Visitors come to Little Italy to dine, but there’s much more to do: watch outdoor movies, play bocce, attend Italian festivals, take Italian language classes, and just stroll through the narrow streets.
- Baltimore Horseshoe Casino is just a few blocks away from the Hilton, and offers video-slot machines, table games, a large poker room, numerous restaurants, and several bars and lounges.
